District Overview
The Kiewit Power Market provides direct-hire and construction services for Power Generation projects, utilizing both union and non-union craft forces. The Kiewit Power Market specializes in building major EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and bid-build natural gas power plants, solar fields, nuclear facilities, and energy storage systems throughout North America. Location

While headquartered in Lenexa, KS, our Power projects span across the entire United States. Therefore, candidates must be open to extensive travel and relocation as business needs require.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a vibrant and diverse team to build, estimate, and schedule mechanical, electrical, and heavy industrial systems.
- Support both administrative and construction activities as assigned by your supervisor, which may include reviewing proposals/specifications, analyzing drawings, performing material takeoffs, preparing cost estimates, and attending pre-bid investigation meetings.
- Gain valuable experience in supervising subcontractors and effectively communicating with vendors.
- Prepare detailed work plans, assure quality control, manage and track project costs and materials, schedule equipment, administer safety programs, and maintain exceptional owner relations.

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Possess broad knowledge and the ability to understand project scheduling and cost control principles.
- Ability to proficiently read and comprehend project owner specifications and engineering drawings.
- Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with industry-specific software such as SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log, and/or Primavera “P6” is considered a significant plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies and errors.
- Strong work ethic – highly motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
- The ability to freely access all points of a construction site, often in wide-ranging climates and environments.
- Knowledge of construction safety practices and current federal & OSHA requirements is preferred.
- The ability to travel and/or relocate as required by project needs.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.

- Ability to work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on project demands.
- May work at various different locations, and environmental conditions may vary significantly.
Base Compensation
$17.00/hr – $24.00/hr
