• Mission: Support International Paper’s Henderson Mill facility by performing general physical activities and operating powered industrial trucks as a multi-skilled technician, contributing directly to the production of sustainable packaging solutions and the mill’s operational efficiency.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations: Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) and perform a variety of general physical activities essential for mill operations.
• Material Handling: Engage in the physical handling of materials, which includes climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and other necessary movements.
• Equipment Management: Actively monitor, adjust, and control diverse operating equipment to maintain optimal performance and production flow.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough tests and inspections on products and processes to meticulously evaluate their quality and overall performance.
• Professional Development: Participate immediately in a comprehensive state-of-the-art training and certification program designed for career advancement and increased wages.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience; must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible for employment in the U.S.
• Experience: Demonstrate a track record of success in safety practices, consistent attendance, and high-quality work in previous roles. Possess working knowledge of standard administrative duties, including typing and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Skills: Exhibit critical thinking to analyze and address issues logically; apply mechanical principles to solve problems effectively; collaborate and work cooperatively as a team player; be reliable, responsible, and dependable; and show self-motivation to exert effort towards training and accept feedback for continuous improvement and advancement.
• Bonus: Prefer a minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment; previous experience operating mobile equipment; a demonstrated stable work history with at least two consecutive years of employment; or a combination of technical training and school leadership activities; or other relevant technical training or certifications such as Ready to Work programs.
