Entry Level Printing Press Helper | International Paper

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Customized rotating shift (12 hour shifts, switching from nights to days, 3 and 4 day on/off combinations and one 7-day off period per month) requiring two weekends a month and holiday work.
• Location: Indianapolis, IN
• Pay: $24.94–$28.86 hourly
• Mission: Ensure accurate production and quality control of finished printed products.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Counting: Count and stack finished products with accuracy.
• Reading: Read and interpret factory orders and job specification cards precisely.
• Inspection: Utilize gauges and other test equipment to accurately read and inspect products.
• Maintenance: Perform clean-up functions such as blowing down machines, wiping shafts, and vacuuming the machine area.
• Documentation: Accurately complete quality and administrative documents by following directions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position requiring a safe and stable work history, a good attendance record, a positive attitude, and a desire to produce quality work as part of a team.
• Experience: Ability to read a standard tape measure and understand job specification cards.
• Skills:
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic shop math, including adding, subtracting, counting, and recording figures.
• Strict adherence to all safety rules and procedures, including lock out/tag out and proper use of personal protective equipment (e.g., steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, Kevlar gloves).
• Basic computer skills.
• Bonus: Experience working in a manufacturing environment; Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; Willingness to work weekends and overtime as required.
