Job Title: Receptionist

Role Summary

The Receptionist plays a vital role in our caring community, performing essential administrative, clerical, operational, customer support, and computational tasks. You will be the friendly face greeting patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. This position reports directly to the Center Administrator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a switchboard or multi-line phone system, efficiently managing incoming calls and maintaining accurate call logs.
  • Take and distribute messages precisely and promptly.
  • Warmly greet visitors, determine the nature of their visit, and direct them appropriately.
  • Issue visitor passes and meticulously maintain visitor logs.
  • Alert the appropriate party of visitor arrivals or direct visitors to the correct office, department, or employee.
  • Respond to routine inquiries from internal and external sources, providing information on location, hours of operation, phone numbers, and email addresses.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative activities, including booking meeting rooms, typing documents, organizing and distributing mail, and handling courier packages.
  • Undertake other administrative duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the center.

Required Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience working in a Healthcare setting is preferred, but we will consider candidates with strong customer service backgrounds from retail, hospitality, legal, insurance, or call centers.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is essential for serving our diverse community.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills, with the ability to manage multiple phone lines effectively.
  • A proven team player, eager to collaborate with colleagues.
  • Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly detailed and organized, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with a Value-based care model.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records).

Additional Information

  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • This role is considered patient-facing and is part of Humana’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected, you will be required to be screened for TB.
  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location, and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$38,000 – $45,800 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
