• Mission: To perform custodial maintenance in assigned university buildings, ensuring safe and well-maintained facilities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Restroom Care: Maintain clean and sanitary restrooms, ensuring all dispensers are refilled and stocked.
• Floor Maintenance: Perform comprehensive floor care, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, stripping, cleaning, waxing, and buffing.
• Waste Management: Manage waste by regularly emptying and cleaning trash receptacles across campus facilities.
• Event Support: Prepare facilities for special events by moving furniture and assisting with setup requirements.
• Supply Management: Receive, stock, and organize custodial supplies in designated storage areas.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Experience: One to two years of experience in a similar custodial position or completion of an apprenticeship/internship sufficient to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties.
• Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of the materials, equipment, and methods used in the custodial maintenance of public buildings, including the operation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of custodial equipment. Possesses skills in decision-making, problem-solving, and communicating effectively with others.
• Bonus: Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license. A proven ability to maintain regular attendance.
