Systems Engineering Intern

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) is seeking a motivated Systems Engineering Intern to join our dedicated team. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects supporting our nation’s fundamental defense services. You will contribute to high-stakes national security missions by working closely with esteemed customers and a talented group of colleagues.

Basic Qualifications

• Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of engineering technology.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in one of the following disciplines, with a preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher:
  • Computer Engineering
  • Systems Engineering
  • Software Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Other related scientific or technical discipline
• U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed within our facilities.

Responsibilities For This Position

As a Systems Engineering Intern, you will apply your classroom-learned skills to a program supporting the defense of our country. You will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associated with our core mission. Specifically, you will work with our Network Infrastructure team, helping to deliver the computing network for Surface Ships.

This role provides an opportunity to enhance your skill set by working among a talented and technically accomplished group of colleagues. Interns will also enjoy a flexible work environment where contributions are recognized and rewarded.

Target Salary Range

USD $24.00/Hr. – USD $29.00/Hr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
