The TL;DR

• Location: Columbus, OH (On-site)
• Pay: $25 hourly
• Team: Reports to the experienced Estimating team.
• Mission: This role provides invaluable exposure to key aspects of the electrical construction industry, including project coordination, detailed quantity takeoff, and data collection.
• Tech Stack: AccuBid
What You’ll Actually Do
• Produce: Quantity takeoff of systems from electrical drawings, including lighting fixtures, lighting controls, and fire alarm devices.
• Utilize: Industry-leading estimating software, AccuBid, to gain practical exposure to its functions.
• Interpret: Drawings and specifications meticulously to understand specific project requirements.
• Participate: Specialized training programs to build capabilities in industry-specific software, governing design and construction codes, specification writing, and design practices.
• Assist: With field investigations, drawing verification, and other on-site support during visits to various construction jobsites.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• Experience: Early Career. No prior specific work experience is required for this internship role.
• Skills: Strong communication and teamwork abilities, a natural knack for identifying and solving problems, high organization and attention to detail, and integrity when handling sensitive information.
