About the Internship Program

Superior is seeking highly motivated and energetic students for our internship program during the Fall 2026 term (September – December). This program offers a comprehensive experience designed to support your professional growth and expose you to the exciting world of electrical construction.

Position Overview

As an Estimating Intern, you will work directly under the guidance of our experienced Estimating team at our Columbus, Ohio headquarters. This role offers invaluable exposure to key aspects of the electrical construction industry, including project coordination, detailed quantity takeoff, and data collection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce quantity takeoff of systems from electrical drawings. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Lighting fixtures
    • Lighting controls
    • Fire alarm devices
    • And several other electrical systems
  • Gain exposure to our industry-leading estimating software, AccuBid.
  • Learn to meticulously read drawings and specifications to understand project-specific requirements.
  • Participate in specialized training programs to build capabilities in:
    • Industry-specific software programs
    • Governing design and construction codes
    • Specification writing
    • Design practices
  • Visit various construction jobsites to assist with field investigations, drawing verification, and other on-site support.

Education Requirements

Required: You must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Construction Management or a related field.
