The Tone:
This is an internship at MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions, a company dedicated to making buildings work better by designing, delivering, and servicing HVAC, plumbing, and automation systems. As a Service Technician Intern, you will play a crucial role in gaining real-world mechanical skills while contributing to the Service team’s mission. You will be mentored by senior technicians, learning hands-on experience with diagnosing and repairing a wide array of equipment for commercial buildings.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: On-site (various customer sites in the Northwest)
• Pay: $30 hourly
• Team: Works alongside senior-level technicians within the Service department.
• Mission: To gain hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing HVAC and related equipment while learning from experienced professionals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Equipment Support: Assist with the maintenance and repair of HVAC and related equipment for commercial buildings.
• Customer Interaction: Respond to customer needs promptly and positively, ensuring high value for services performed.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, strictly adhering to all established safety procedures.
• Operational Adherence: Follow standard operating procedures and clean and organize tools and equipment as instructed.
• Team Collaboration: Aid senior technicians with repairs and interact effectively with managers, team members, and customers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be 18 years of age or older and currently enrolled in an HVAC repair/maintenance or related course of study.
• Experience: A positive recommendation from a current instructor is required, demonstrating readiness for hands-on learning.
• Skills: Possess a positive attitude, a desire to work as a team player, and the ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
