Jr. Data Scientist | Blend
The Tone:
This is a contract role at Blend, located in Atlanta, GA, for a client. Blend is an AI services provider that collaborates with clients to create significant impact using data science, AI, and technology. The company aims to unlock value and foster innovation by combining human expertise with artificial intelligence. This role is crucial for a Fortune 100 financial services client, where you will join their banking partner’s Consumer Payments & Credit Card Analytics team to analyze large-scale datasets and deliver data-driven strategies.

• Mission: Analyze transactional data, uncover customer insights, and deliver data-driven strategies to improve product performance, customer segmentation, and marketing effectiveness.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analytics & Insights: Analyze credit card and P2P transaction data to identify trends, growth opportunities, and areas for improvement across products and customer segments.
• Advanced Modeling: Design and implement statistical and predictive models using Python and SAS to forecast trends, evaluate campaign performance, and measure customer lifetime value.
• Cloud Data Management: Leverage Snowflake to manage and optimize large-scale data environments, building and maintaining ETL processes for high data quality and accessibility.
• Business Intelligence: Create interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Qlik, and Sigma to enable self-service analytics and support real-time business decision-making.
• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Product Management, and Risk teams to align analytical insights with strategic objectives and provide support for new product initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Early career level.
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience, including internships, in analytics, data science, or business intelligence. Must be a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology or Georgia State University.
• Skills: Proficiency in Python and SAS for analytics and modeling; strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses; experience with BI tools including Tableau, Qlik, and Sigma; strong understanding of statistical techniques, marketing analytics, and customer segmentation methodologies.
