About the Internship

This intern position focuses on assisting in the vital administration of a field office, contributing directly to achieving project profitability and schedule goals. It offers a practical opportunity to gain hands-on experience in construction project management and operations.

  • Visa Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This includes H-1B lottery registration submission and completion of the STEM OPT I-983 training plan, which are considered sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities

As an intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the field office with a variety of administrative and project-related tasks, including:

  • Updating and maintaining all sets of drawings, specifications, and logs.
  • Preparing document distributions to subcontractors.
  • Maintaining various project logs, including document logs, submittal logs, RFI logs (on CMS system), and expediting logs.
  • Assisting with the maintenance and updating of Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules.
  • Helping to determine weekly labor production quantities.
  • Assisting with the processing of submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Assisting in project filing system maintenance to ensure organization and accessibility.
  • Inputting data for labor cost reports and field quantity surveys.
  • Assisting with Affirmative Action program documentation.
  • Completing other responsibilities as assigned to support project operations.

Minimum Skills & Experience Requirements

We are seeking motivated individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Education: An Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree completed or in progress, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Foundational Skills: Basic estimating and scheduling skills are desirable.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
  • Communication: Effective written and verbal English language communication skills are essential.
  • Work Ethic: Ability to use independent judgment and demonstrate self-starting initiative.
  • Computer Proficiency: Drafting and general computer skills are desirable.
