We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Staff Engineer to join our Engineering and Fabrication team at our Chatsworth, CA facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing and design environment. You will support the design, documentation, and production of components and assemblies utilized in the Aerospace field, working closely with senior engineers, technicians, and quality specialists. The role includes occasional travel and requires comfort working on the shop floor, as well as in an office/desk environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for aerospace parts, tooling, and assemblies.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and presentations using the full Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
- Support manufacturing and prototype activities in the shop environment, including basic assembly, fit checks, and troubleshooting.
- Work with Quality and Mechanical Engineering Teams to develop a clean-room testing and component cleaning operation.
- Use basic hand tools (wrenches, drills, calipers, torque tools, etc.) to assist with builds, modifications, and test setups.
- Participate in design reviews, engineering change orders, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Travel up to 15% of the time for supplier visits, customer support, field installations, and work at various client facilities in California and Florida.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all work complies with company procedures and aerospace industry standards.
- Perform Engineering Analyses as it pertains to ASME Pressure Vessel and Piping System Designs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Physics from an accredited institution (required).
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge or recent academic/project experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
Other Requirements
- Must be available to travel approximately 15% of the time.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- U.S. Person status may be required (ITAR compliance).

General physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may vary based on location of assignment. For the Chatsworth, CA assignment, requirements include:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Comfortable working in a shop/manufacturing environment (exposure to noise, dust, and machinery).
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
- Willing and able to use basic hand tools safely and effectively.
