Summer STEM Instructor / Camp Counselor | Lavner Education
The Tone:
This is a seasonal contract role at Lavner Education, located on-site at the University of Miami in Miami, FL, spanning from June 8 to July 31, 2026. What You’ll Actually Do
• STEM Instruction: Deliver quality, educational instruction to elementary and middle school-aged students in both class and one-on-one environments, using provided curricula for a wide range of STEM topics including Coding, Robotics, and Game Design.
• Technical Setup: Assist with the comprehensive setup and ongoing maintenance of on-site computer hardware, software, and internet connectivity to ensure a seamless learning environment.
• Technical Support: Provide ongoing troubleshooting and technical support to all staff and students, addressing issues promptly to minimize disruption.
• Issue Communication: Communicate technical issues quickly and effectively to company headquarters, offering potential solutions for efficient problem resolution.
• Camp Operations: Perform weekly inventory management and tracking for all camp resources, and consistently serve as a positive role model for campers and staff by maintaining an inclusive, professional, and upbeat attitude.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career. Education, training, or experience in Computer Science, Education, Engineering, Graphic Design, Digital Art, Digital Animation, Film, or related STEM fields.
• Experience: Not specified.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, leadership abilities, flexibility, and a deep appreciation for teamwork.
• Bonus: A background in working with kids and teens is highly recommended. Required clearances or the ability to obtain them prior to the start date.
