Junior Marketing Specialist | Serco Inc.

This role is crucial for educating U.S. service members and their families on comprehensive military benefits and retirement programs, directly impacting their financial well-being and future planning.

• Mission: Educate service members, their families, and support personnel on military benefits and retirement programs through presentations and direct assistance.

What You’ll Actually Do
Program Representation: Represent the My Service Benefits (MSB) program at various venues, conferences, and awareness opportunities to achieve strategic communications goals.
Benefits Presentations: Deliver presentations on MyArmyBenefits and MyAirForceBenefits to diverse audiences, ranging from 10 to over 200 participants, including senior leaders and VIPs, in both virtual and in-person settings.
Expert Resource: Act as the primary knowledge resource on all aspects of military benefits and retirement, including calculating retired pay, Survivor Benefit Plan premiums, and survivor benefit estimates.
Outreach & Development: Conduct outreach to various military commands to generate new briefing, presentation, and event opportunities, thereby increasing awareness among active duty military members and their families.
Cross-functional Support: Provide assistance to team marketing efforts, including social media input and user feedback collection, and support the technical team by testing site calculators and other features.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Communications, Advertising/Public Relations, Journalism, Business, English, or a related field, suitable for an early career specialist in strategic communications.
• Experience: Possess at least one year of experience delivering presentations to diverse military audiences, including large groups of over 200 participants, with the ability to travel up to 50% (up to 4 times per month).
• Skills: Demonstrate strong presentation and communication skills, a foundational understanding of military benefits, comfort with learning new applications and working with technology, the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, U.S. Citizenship, and the capacity to obtain a NACI clearance.
