We are proud recipients of the Lantern Award for nursing excellence.

Our state-of-the-art department features 41 pediatric emergency beds, including a 6-bed observation unit, all located within the new children’s hospital. CES nurses work collaboratively with board-certified pediatric emergency medicine faculty and pediatric residents, providing expert family-centered care to over 40,000 children annually. These patients present with a wide range of acuities, from minor injuries to critical illnesses.

The department actively supports its nurses by offering financial assistance for ENPC, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPEN certifications. New hires benefit from an in-depth orientation and ongoing continuing education opportunities.
