Collision Tech Trainee Intern | Tesla
The Tone:
This is an internship at Tesla, located in Tesla Collision Repair Centers. You will be part of a team responsible for repairing the most advanced vehicles on the planet. This role is crucial for maintaining Tesla’s electric vehicles and supports the company’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. We are seeking problem-solvers who are motivated, eager to learn new technical skills, and align with our goal.

• Team: Part of a collision repair team, supporting senior technicians.
• Mission: This intern helps repair advanced electric vehicles to support Tesla’s mission of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform guided entry-level repair and maintenance tasks on Tesla electric vehicles.
• Collision Repair: Execute diverse collision repair operations, including detailing, paint preparation, disassembly, reassembly, estimating, and mechanical work.
• Tool Operation: Safely operate various hand, power, and shop tools for repair tasks.
• Technical Support: Assist senior technicians in the repair of Tesla electric vehicles.
• Shop Management: Maintain inventory, record time, and manage shop supplies and parts as required.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career, possessing knowledge of collision repair methods and techniques for vehicles.
• Experience: Demonstrated basic computer skills including web browsing and use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Skills: Strong oral and written communication, problem-solving, teamwork, a safety-first attitude, and familiar understanding of the English language.
• Bonus: Current enrollment in a Collision or Automotive program is preferred; a valid driver’s license is also preferred.
