Intern – Florida Water Division
Overview
We are actively seeking talented Interns to join our Florida Water Division, based in Tampa, FL.
Our comprehensive internship program is designed to cultivate future leaders, equipping you with essential skills both on and off the jobsite. This unique program offers the opportunity to travel across the United States and rotate through various operational divisions. This exposure provides invaluable hands-on experience in project engineering and field management.
We prioritize matching interns with positions that align closely with their academic background and career aspirations, setting a clear path for a successful career after graduation. Interns will contribute either directly on jobsites or within our office, assisting with critical pursuits in our estimating and preconstruction departments.
Responsibilities
As an Intern, you will gain exposure to a multitude of career paths within our company and receive training aimed at preparing you for a full-time employee role upon college graduation. Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Assisting project managers or field supervision staff with crucial project coordination tasks.
- Estimating costs for potential change orders.
- Soliciting bids and coordinating activities with subcontractors.
- Developing schedules for various contracts and materials.
- Maintaining meticulous document control.
- Coordinating effectively with subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.
- Participating in and learning about safety management protocols.
- Active participation in team meetings, contributing to discussions.
- Writing Requests for Information (RFIs), preparing submittals, and assisting in the processing of change orders.
Qualifications
- Seeking a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- The ability to commit to a 12-week work schedule is preferred.
- Please note that specific roles within the program may require relocation.
