About the Job: Project Engineer Intern (NorCal)

Brady West NorCal is seeking motivated Project Engineer Interns to join our team. This is an exceptional entry-level opportunity designed for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in the specialty subcontracting field. You will play a crucial role in supporting project managers and learning the intricacies of delivering projects with quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Contract Document Management:
- Updating contract drawings and specifications
- RFI and change management (e.g., ASIs, Bulletins, RFQs)
- Submittal management
- Scanning and uploading documents and emails onto OnBase
- Soliciting quotes from Suppliers, Vendors, and Subcontractors
- Managing job-specific subcontractor related documents as applicable
- Creating Submittal Packages:
- Creating cover sheets
- Obtaining product data, maintenance information, SDS sheets, LEED letters, and shop drawings
- Assisting with forecasting / cost analysis
- Research and cost analysis of new products and manufacturers
- Producing cost breakdowns / color-coded drawings
- Assisting with change order takeoff / pricing
- Drafting and submitting RFIs
- Assisting with the QA process
- Assisting with the job close-out process
- Calculating unit costs based on quantity of material installed, hours worked, and labor dollars
- Attending and participating in all required company training programs
- Conforming to all company policies and procedures
- Intentionally living out the company’s mission, purpose, and values
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Construction Management, Engineering, or other related field program
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Eagerness to learn and apply project management principles in real-world settings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with project management software is a plus
- No prior experience required; this is an entry-level, learning-focused opportunity
