This pivotal role is crucial for protecting the reputations, licenses, and businesses of diverse professionals by handling errors & omissions (E&O) / professional negligence claims, disciplinary hearings, and regulatory proceedings. • Mission: Defend professionals and their insurers in high-stakes professional liability, disciplinary, and regulatory matters from initial filings through trial and appeal.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Defend professionals: Handle E&O/professional negligence claims, disciplinary proceedings, and regulatory matters in state and federal courts.
• Manage litigation phases: Oversee all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, trials, and appeals.
• Draft and argue motions: Prepare and present dispositive motions and oppositions in court.
• Provide risk management: Conduct proactive risk audits and support client hotlines to prevent future issues.
• Collaborate on strategy: Work closely with partners, insurers, and clients to develop case strategy, protect reputations, and achieve expeditious resolutions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Doctorate Degree (Juris Doctor) with a focus on litigation and professional liability defense; Early Career level.
• Experience: 1+ years of litigation experience; professional liability, insurance defense, or related experience is preferred.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong research, writing, and motion practice skills; New Jersey bar admission is required; self-directed, organized, and a collaborative team player.
• Bonus: Multi-jurisdictional experience is a significant plus; genuine interest in defending professionals’ careers, licenses, and reputations.
