This pivotal role focuses on protecting a diverse range of professionals, including accountants, architects/engineers, doctors, lawyers, insurance brokers, and real estate professionals. You will handle errors & omissions (E&O) / professional negligence claims, disciplinary hearings, and regulatory proceedings in state and federal courts, from initial filings through trial and appeal.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Defend professionals in E&O/professional negligence claims, disciplinary proceedings, and regulatory matters.
• Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, trials, and appeals in state and federal courts.
• Draft and argue dispositive motions and oppositions.
• Provide proactive risk management, conduct audits, and support client hotlines.
• Collaborate closely with partners, insurers, and clients on case strategy, reputation protection, and achieving expeditious resolutions.
• Participate in high-exposure matters, always emphasizing confidentiality and value-driven outcomes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience: 1+ years of litigation experience. Professional liability, insurance defense, or related experience is preferred.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong research, writing, and motion practice skills.
• Bar Admission: New Jersey bar admission is required. Multi-jurisdictional experience is a significant plus.
• Interest: A genuine interest in defending professionals’ careers, licenses, and reputations.
• Attributes: Self-directed, organized, and a collaborative team player comfortable thriving in a national firm environment.
