Junior AI Developer | Light & Wonder

The Tone:
This is an early career role at Light & Wonder, working within the corporate team to provide essential services across the enterprise. This role is a rare opportunity for a junior developer to be at the forefront of AI adoption in a corporate accounting function. You will build intelligent tools, automate workflows, and help transform how our accounting team operates by translating business problems into technical solutions.

• Team: Global Accounting Organization, reporting to Sr. Director of Enterprise Applications and Chief Accounting Officer
• Mission: Build practical AI-powered tools to automate accounting workflows and transform operations within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Tech Stack: Python, C#, SQL, REST APIs, Microsoft Azure services, Claude Services, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Azure SQL, Power BI, Oracle, Incorta, Blackline, HFM, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Create AI agents, intelligent automation tools, and internal applications for accounting use cases like close automation, transaction processing, and reconciliation.
• Implement: Build AI workflows that integrate accounting and financial data with enterprise systems such as Oracle, Blackline, HFM, and Incorta.
• Support: Assist with data engineering tasks including ingestion, transformation, pipeline development using Azure SQL, and Power BI reporting.
• Collaborate: Partner closely with accounting and other business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Document: Maintain thorough documentation, ensure code quality, and follow best development practices for AI-supported accounting workflows.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Junior to mid-level career.
• Experience: 0–3 years in software development, AI/ML, or data engineering, with familiarity in Microsoft Azure services and Claude Services.
• Skills: Proficiency in Python and/or C#, comfort with SQL and REST APIs, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication.
• Bonus: Exposure to accounting or finance domain knowledge, hands-on experience with enterprise financial systems like Oracle or Blackline, and familiarity with Power Platform tools.
