The Tone:
This is a full-time Sourcing Engineering Internship at Ingersoll Rand, available in multiple locations including Springfield, Missouri. This role is vital to ensuring the company sources high-quality, cost-effective materials and components from reliable suppliers for its diverse product range. Interns will contribute to the foundational supply chain processes that support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for products excelling in complex and harsh conditions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Supplier Identification: Identify and evaluate potential new suppliers.
• Supplier Evaluation: Conduct audits and assessments of existing and potential suppliers.
• Problem Resolution: Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to resolve sourcing-related issues.
• Strategy Support: Support the development and implementation of new sourcing strategies.
• Performance Reporting: Analyze data and generate reports on supplier performance and cost metrics.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience is required for this internship role.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and proven teamwork skills, including the ability to work independently.
• Bonus: Basic knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles.
