The Tone:
This is an hourly retail associate role at Five Below, typically performed in a store location. What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Service: Greet and assist customers immediately, providing prompt service and efficiently managing multiple customer interactions to ensure their needs are met.
• Product Guidance: Understand customer requirements by sharing comprehensive product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and suggesting additional items while staying informed about current availability.
• Sales Promotion: Inform customers about current store events, promotions, and special activities to elevate their shopping experience and actively contribute to driving sales targets.
• Issue Resolution: Address customer concerns and issues using product knowledge to offer effective solutions, striving to convert returns into exchanges whenever appropriate.
• Operational Support: Communicate timely feedback to management regarding merchandise restocking needs, service requirements, and any customer observations to maintain smooth store operations and inventory levels.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be at least 16 years old. No specific educational degree is required; the role emphasizes the ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training.
• Experience: No prior experience is explicitly required. Candidates should be available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends, to meet the business needs.
• Skills: Possess good communication abilities to engage effectively with customers. You must be able to handle customer interactions and potential issues or concerns courteously and professionally. The ability to use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems is also essential, along with being comfortable with or willing to learn how to operate technology like cash registers and mobile devices.
