Job Title: Strategy Intern

The Strategy Intern will play a crucial role in supporting Vertiv’s ER&D Strategy team. This position is central to shaping growth initiatives, conducting market analyses, and contributing to business transformation projects across the entire enterprise. This internship offers invaluable hands-on experience in strategic planning, corporate development, and global market research within a dynamic technology environment. The intern will engage in collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams and senior leaders, developing key insights that directly inform Vertiv’s long-term business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of strategic plans, growth roadmaps, and portfolio analyses through meticulous data collection, research, and synthesis.
• Conduct comprehensive market, competitor, and technology landscape assessments to proactively identify emerging trends and lucrative business opportunities.
• Assist in evaluating M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions), partnership, and investment opportunities by performing market diligence, benchmarking, and financial modeling.
• Participate actively in workshops, strategy sessions, and presentations, providing valuable contributions to executive and business unit stakeholders.
• Help define key performance indicators (KPIs), track progress against strategic goals, and effectively summarize insights for leadership reviews.
• Contribute to special projects focused on technology exploration, inorganic growth strategies, and competitive research.
• Prepare executive-level presentation materials using PowerPoint to clearly and concisely communicate strategic findings and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an MBA or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying complex information clearly.
• Familiarity with essential tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and various data analysis tools.
• Exposure to GenAI toolsets and emerging technologies is considered a significant advantage.
• Prior experience in consulting and/or industrial companies is preferred.
• A keen interest in strategy, corporate development, or management consulting careers.
