The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: Cooperstown, NY
• Pay: $17.67–$26.50 hourly
• Team: Accounts Payable unit, reporting to the Accounts Payable Coordinator or Manager of Accounts Payable
• Mission: Ensures vendor payments, patient refunds, and travel reimbursements are completed and expenses are controlled.
• Tech Stack: Accounts payable system, Electronic interfaces

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Processing: Prepares and processes financial data into the accounts payable system following established policies and procedures.
• Invoice Management: Enters invoices and check requests for payment into the system within established timelines, ensuring accurate data entry.
• Financial Verification: Verifies purchase orders, receivers, and invoices, collaborating with the Purchasing department to resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Payment Processing: Processes vendor payments, prepares the preliminary cash required report, and generates weekly accounts payable checks.
• Record Maintenance: Maintains organized, logical, and accessible files for pending, paid, and problem invoices, ensuring documentation is easily locatable.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate Degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred); Early Career.
• Experience: 6 months of basic accounts payable experience (preferred).
• Skills: Accountability, Accuracy, Attention to Detail, Computer Skills, Logical Thinking.
