Job Title: Intern – Industrial Engineering – Colorado Springs, CO – Summer 2026

Philips invites undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) students to join our team in Colorado Springs for a paid Summer 2026 Industrial Engineering internship. Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Industrial Engineering Intern, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting detailed time studies on the manufacturing floor to analyze current processes.
- Converting time study findings into clear Yamazumi charts and well-defined work-breakdown elements.
- Providing direct support to the Manufacturing Engineering team and Production Management.
- Assessing manufacturing capacity and identifying opportunities to improve workload balance across production lines.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a motivated and capable individual who meets the following criteria:
- Educational Background: Currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) or graduate (MS) degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Relevant Experience: Basic experience in conducting process time studies is required.
- Technical Skills: Comfortable and proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal formats, with various stakeholders including operators, engineers, and management.
- Work Ethic: A self-starter with the flexibility to adjust working hours to collect necessary data, potentially across 1st shift (05:00 to 15:30) or 2nd shift (14:00 to 22:00).
- Work Environment: Comfortable working daily on the production floor within a cleanroom environment and engaging with a diverse team.
- Physical & Cognitive Requirements: Must be able to successfully perform the minimum Physical, Cognitive, and Environmental job requirements for this position, with or without accommodation.

Philips Transparency Details
Hourly Pay Range: The hourly pay for this position ranges from $24.00 to $28.00, and it is overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. Please note that it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, as compensation decisions are dependent upon the specific facts and circumstances of each case.

- Relocation: Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. Candidates must reside in or within commuting distance to Colorado Springs, CO.
