Trial Attorney | Allstate

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Allstate, located in New Jersey (implied by bar membership). This role is on Allstate’s legal frontline, defending insured clients and the Company in a variety of legal cases. The TL;DR

• Pay: $70100–$121475 yearly
• Mission: Champion the defense for insured clients and Allstate in PIP/No-Fault arbitration hearings, bodily injury, and property damage lawsuits.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Management: Manage all aspects of PIP/no-fault litigation from inception to resolution, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Evidence & Preparation: Gather and organize documents and evidence, conduct legal research, and thoroughly prepare for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
• Document Drafting: Prepare and draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other essential legal paperwork.
• Client & Witness Interaction: Interview clients and witnesses, draft summaries of their statements, and maintain accurate communication records.
• Court Representation: Attend Arbitration hearings, court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings, representing the company or clients in routine matters and assisting as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and active membership in good standing with the New Jersey state bar.
• Experience: Demonstrable ability to conduct thorough legal research and draft clear, well-structured legal documents, often gained through successful completion of courses focused on legal research, writing, and analysis.
• Skills: Legal Research, Legal Document Preparation, Litigation, Time Management, Negotiation, Organizational Skills, Communication, Ethical Conduct.
