RISK MANAGEMENT/SECURITY ASSISTANT | Centralsan

The Tone:
This is a temporary summer position at Centralsan, a wastewater utility. This role offers an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable risk management and security experience within a critical infrastructure environment. You will contribute to essential risk management initiatives, providing hands-on support in a vital division.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Temporary (Summer 2026, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday)
• Location: In-person

• Team: Risk Management Division
• Mission: To contribute to critical risk management initiatives and gain practical experience within a wastewater utility environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct research and gather data pertinent to various aspects of risk management.
• Assessment: Provide assistance with the processes involved in conducting risk assessments.
• Development: Contribute to the creation and refinement of policies related to risk management.
• Design: Gain insight and understanding into the design principles of security systems.
• Field Work: Perform essential field work to support departmental operations and initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must currently hold full-time student status and be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience: This is an opportunity for students to gain experience, therefore no prior professional experience is required.
• Skills:
• Ability to function effectively as a dedicated team player while also working independently.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities for managing various assignments.
• Proficient in writing clear and concise reports and memoranda.
• Possesses strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Bonus: May be required to work with construction drawings and system maps.
