This role is essential for protecting company assets and profits by mitigating shrinkage, preventing theft, and maintaining the overall safety and security of physical spaces and occupants.

• Team: Works within the Asset Protection (AP) team, collaborating with store Emergency Response Team (ERT) and AP Leadership.
• Mission: Safeguard customers, teams, and the brand by mitigating shrinkage, preventing theft, and ensuring safety and security.
• Tech Stack: Advanced technology, reporting mechanisms, surveillance tactics, video systems, RFID data

What You’ll Actually Do
• Theft Resolution: Conduct quality apprehensions in high-shrinkage areas, strictly adhering to established policies and leadership guidance.
• Investigative Analysis: Proactively identify theft trends by leveraging advanced technology, reporting, surveillance, and RFID data analysis, supporting item-level investigations.
• Shrinkage Mitigation: Drive a culture of shrinkage reduction through effective action plans, robust merchandise protection standards, and store training.
• Internal Investigations: Identify, escalate, and support internal theft investigations by diligently gathering evidence and collaborating with AP Leadership and specialized teams.
• Emergency Response & Safety: Maintain the general safety and security of customers, employees, and the store by responding to, escalating, and reporting all security and emergency incidents, serving as an active member of the ERT.
• Partnership & Reporting: Foster strong cross-functional partnerships with store leaders, neighboring retailers, and local law enforcement agencies, while preparing comprehensive reports for all incidents.

• Background: Proven ability to make sound decisions and be accountable for them, demonstrating good judgment in a retail environment.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and a calm, composed demeanor when dealing with safety issues, including individuals who engage in aggressive behavior.
• Skills: Detailed, clear, and concise verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a high level of accountability and ownership in all tasks.
• Bonus: Experience in investigative, asset protection, and security procedures.
