The Tone:

This position supports landscape maintenance across a variety of industrial, commercial, and public properties. The Landscaper I plays a crucial role in maintaining the aesthetics and health of outdoor environments, ensuring properties are well-kept and presentable. The work is hands-on and essential for supporting the overall quality of landscape services provided by BrightView.

• Mission: Provides essential landscape maintenance support to ensure properties are well-maintained and visually appealing.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Groundskeeping: Maintain turf by operating power mowers, trimming, and edging, while also using gas-powered blowers for debris removal.
• Plant Care: Prune shrubs and low trees to improve their shape or growth, and actively plant and maintain flowerbeds.
• Site Cleanliness: Pick up trash, blow leaves and other organic debris for collection, and perform weeding by hand or with garden tools.
• Equipment Operations: Safely operate various commercial-grade landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, edgers, and blowers.
• Maintenance & Safety: Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment to extend its life, and report any unsafe conditions to the Crew Leader.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Familiarity with basic horticultural maintenance operations and practices.
• Experience: Certified on Level 1 equipment, including a backpack blower, stick edger, string trimmer, and walk-behind mower.
• Skills: Ability to safely work with equipment such as power saws and cutters, demonstrating an enthusiastic and dependable approach to tasks.
