Mechanical Engineering Intern

We are seeking a driven and talented Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team in a full-time, hybrid role. Based in Minneapolis, MN, this position offers the flexibility of occasional remote work. This is an exceptional opportunity for an aspiring engineer to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, contributing to impactful projects and collaborating with industry experts.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation, modification, and refinement of mechanical designs utilizing state-of-the-art Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
• Conduct thorough technical analyses to support design decisions, troubleshoot issues, and optimize equipment performance.
• Support project managers with various project management activities, helping to ensure projects stay on track and within scope.
• Actively collaborate with cross-functional team members and clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings and project progress effectively.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment performance issues, identifying root causes, and proposing corrective actions.
• Provide crucial support to ongoing engineering projects, contributing to their successful completion and alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundational understanding of mechanical engineering principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles and practical experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools.
• Possess strong Analytical Skills, enabling effective problem-solving and sound decision-making.
• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear and concise technical explanations and collaborative interactions.
• Familiarity with fundamental Project Management practices and the ability to contribute effectively within established project timelines.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical field.
• Ability to thrive and collaborate effectively within a flexible hybrid work environment.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and applications is a significant plus.
