Mechanical Engineering Intern
We are seeking a driven and talented Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team in a full-time, hybrid role. Based in Minneapolis, MN, this position offers the flexibility of occasional remote work. This is an exceptional opportunity for an aspiring engineer to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, contributing to impactful projects and collaborating with industry experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation, modification, and refinement of mechanical designs utilizing state-of-the-art Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Conduct thorough technical analyses to support design decisions, troubleshoot issues, and optimize equipment performance.
- Support project managers with various project management activities, helping to ensure projects stay on track and within scope.
- Actively collaborate with cross-functional team members and clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings and project progress effectively.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment performance issues, identifying root causes, and proposing corrective actions.
- Provide crucial support to ongoing engineering projects, contributing to their successful completion and alignment with organizational objectives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundational understanding of mechanical engineering principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles and practical experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools.
- Possess strong Analytical Skills, enabling effective problem-solving and sound decision-making.
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear and concise technical explanations and collaborative interactions.
- Familiarity with fundamental Project Management practices and the ability to contribute effectively within established project timelines.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical field.
- Ability to thrive and collaborate effectively within a flexible hybrid work environment.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and applications is a significant plus.
