As a Valet Attendant, you will be the direct point of contact for guests, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from their arrival to their departure. • Mission: Safely and cheerfully manage guest vehicle parking and retrieval to ensure a positive service experience.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Guest Engagement: Provide a consistently positive customer experience by cheerfully greeting all guests upon arrival and sincerely thanking them at their departure, while adeptly resolving any immediate concerns or issues.
• Efficient Vehicle Handling: Safely and expeditiously park and retrieve a variety of guest vehicles, adhering strictly to company safety protocols and ensuring timely service delivery.
• Parking Information & Guidance: Clearly articulate parking rates, explain payment procedures, and provide precise instructions for guests to efficiently retrieve their self-park vehicles.
• Vehicle Care & Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of each vehicle before taking possession, meticulously documenting its condition according to established company guidelines.
• Site Support: Perform minor cleaning or maintenance duties and undertake other specific projects as directed by local management, contributing to the overall upkeep of the parking facility.
The Must-Haves
• Background: The primary requirement is holding a valid driver’s license for a minimum of two years and being at least 18 years of age. This foundation ensures the legal and practical ability to operate vehicles safely.
• Skills: Essential skills include the ability to confidently drive vehicles with a manual (standard, stick-shift) transmission. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, fostering a friendly yet professional approach with all individuals. The role also demands significant physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods, and to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs when necessary. Furthermore, a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to effectively manage customer issues during busy periods are crucial.
• Bonus: Prior experience of at least one year in valet parking services or a dedicated customer service role is highly preferred, demonstrating an existing understanding of guest interaction and efficient service delivery.
