Spring/Summer Product Development Internship 2026

Location: 100% on-site in Winchester, Kentucky

Position Summary

This Spring/Summer Product Development (PD) Internship at Catalent’s Winchester location offers a valuable opportunity to support the Product Development team. The intern will be actively involved in various stages of development projects, including the execution of experiments, drafting protocols and reports, conducting physical testing, and assisting in manufacturing activities. This role requires clear communication and interaction with the Product Development team and other departments to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

Catalent’s Winchester facility serves as the flagship US manufacturing location for large-scale oral dose forms. It boasts integrated analytical and development services, leveraging 28 years of expertise in product development, technology transfers, and commercial manufacturing, with strong roots in industry-leading Glatt technology.

The Role: Key Responsibilities

• Gather and summarize data from executed batch records.
• Collect PD-related physical testing data from manufactured products.
• Assist in the preparation of product development protocols and reports.
• Collaborate with relevant site departments to execute development project plans.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
• Learn and adhere to policies and procedures necessary to fulfill duties as a PD intern.
• Follow instructions provided by PD team members.
• Perform other duties as required in support of Catalent Pharma Solutions’ high-performance standards.

The Candidate: Qualifications & Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a college student majoring in Engineering or Sciences disciplines.
• Must be in good academic standing.
• Eligible to legally work in the United States.
• Able to work full-time (40 hours/week) for a 10-12 week period.
• Desirable skills, knowledge, and/or experience that enhance job performance preferred.
• Individual may be required to sit or stand for an extended period of time. Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and frequent use of a computer monitor.
