Summer Management Operations Internship

Murphy-Hoffman Company (MHC-Kenworth) invites ambitious and driven individuals to join our Summer Management Operations Internship Program. As a multi-state network of Kenworth truck dealers, MHC provides a full range of truck services to over 50,000 customers. This intensive 12-week internship is designed as a hands-on deep dive into the operational heart of our business, serving as a direct pipeline into MHC’s Full-Time Management Trainee Program.

Program Overview & Key Responsibilities

Over the course of the summer, you will gain comprehensive, practical experience by rotating through each position within either our Parts or Service Department. This structured approach ensures a thorough understanding of departmental operations and allows you to make tangible contributions to the business. Under the close supervision of a manager, your responsibilities and learning opportunities will include:

  • Executing business initiatives and gaining hands-on experience across all facets of dealership operations.
  • Utilizing your education, training, and experience to perform assigned job functions, contributing directly to daily operations.
  • Developing essential skills through a structured rotation within your assigned department, aiming for a comprehensive understanding of running the business.
  • Opportunity to make a significant impact by conducting a summer-long process improvement project, identifying and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency or service.
  • Direct exposure to the leadership and management principles required to operate a successful department within a billion-dollar industry.

Qualifications
