Role Overview

Amrize Building Envelope, a global leader in manufacturing and supplying commercial building performance solutions, is hiring a skilled Production Worker for its Jacksonville, FL facility. The Production Worker Middle performs various general duties, including but not limited to:

• Measuring bundle heights
• Checking board lengths and square checks
• Identifying general defects in material
• Communicating quality issues to pour table operators during production runs
• Assisting with attaching labels and gluing slats to bundles
• Adjusting saws
• Potentially assisting in loading packaging machine plastic

Key Responsibilities and Accomplishments

• Machine Operation and Quality Assurance: Operate various machines (robots, gang saw, crosscut saw, trim saw, conveyors, packaging equipment) with some quality assurance knowledge, monitoring both product and equipment performance.
• Material Handling: Handle and maintain the flow of materials and products according to established guidelines.
• Inventory Logging: Log the movement of incoming and outgoing materials and products.
• Equipment Operation: Operate low complexity motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures safely.
• Other Duties: Perform other assigned duties.
• Health and Safety Commitment: Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies across all work environments. Actively promote a culture of safety.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 5:45 AM – 4:15 PM, with potential for overtime.

Compensation

Pay: $26.20/hr

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma

Required Work Experience

• Must have forklift experience.
• One to two years’ experience in a shipping/warehousing operation.
• One to two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (desired).
• Experience with inventory software, SAP preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Additional Requirements

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and properly use Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (“PPE”), including respirators.
• Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
