Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of designated staff members, the College Intern will perform various assigned duties designed to enhance their overall educational and professional experience within Orlando Health.   • Team Collaboration: Actively collaborates with other team members to understand, support, and contribute to the established processes and procedures of the assigned department, fostering a cooperative work environment.
  • Dynamic Duty Adaptation: Performs a diverse range of job duties that will vary based on the specific operational needs of the assigned department and the intern’s individual skills and learning objectives, ensuring a dynamic and enriching experience.
  • Temporary Professional Development: This position is structured as a temporary assignment specifically for currently enrolled college students seeking to obtain practical work experience and further their professional development within a healthcare setting.
  • Professional Conduct & Compliance: Upholds a high standard of professionalism by maintaining consistent and punctual attendance, adhering strictly to all Orlando Health policies, and complying with federal, state, and local standards, including the ADA and FMLA.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensures full compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures, contributing to a safe, ethical, and productive work environment for all.

  • Communication & Service Excellence: Actively contributes to fostering a culture of exceptional service by establishing and maintaining open and effective communication channels across the entire corporation.
