Construction Superintendent | ARCO

The Tone:
This is a full-time, travel-intensive role at ARCO, serving clients nationwide. ARCO is a leading design-build general contractor specializing in large-scale warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, and cold storage projects. As a Construction Superintendent, you will actively lead on-site construction, ensuring projects are delivered safely, with superior quality, on time, and within budget. Your leadership is crucial to successful project delivery across the country.

The TL;DR

• Location: Nationwide (100% travel required)

• Team: Reports to a Project Manager and Regional Manager
• Mission: Lead and manage all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, to superior quality, on time, and within budget.
• Tech Stack: Word, Excel, Outlook, project scheduling programs

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Planning: Participate in pre-award reviews and schedule development with the project manager to define construction activities and resource needs.
• Project Execution: Direct and control all construction activities to meet project specifications, schedules, and budget targets efficiently.
• Subcontractor Management: Coordinate subcontractor activities to ensure effective performance and seamless integration with overall project schedules.
• Safety Leadership: Ensure strict adherence to the company’s safety program across all project phases and areas.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to the project manager on job progress, plans, and potential issues impacting costs or schedules.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career: Demonstrated experience in construction, specifically on warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or cold storage projects a minimum of 100k sq ft.
• Experience: 0-2 years in construction on large-scale industrial projects, with 100% willingness to travel within the United States.
• Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and project scheduling programs; possession of a current, valid driver’s license.
