Level 1 Telecom Technician (Helper)

Are you a hard worker with a strong desire to learn and grow in the tech industry? We are seeking a Level 1 Telecom Technician (Helper) to join our team at a data center in Ridgeville, SC. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who may not have extensive telecom experience but possess a robust work ethic, a positive attitude, and a history of working in physically demanding environments. Dependability and consistent attendance are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull and route cabling throughout the data center.
• Assemble, stack, and drill racks.
• Scan, label, and port equipment.
• Support general installation tasks as directed by experienced technicians.

Required Attributes & Qualifications

• Experience working in physically demanding environments (e.g., construction, trades, military, or similar).
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude are essential.
• Reliable attendance history is crucial for this role.
• Hands-on electrical or military experience is highly valued.
• Must be able to work on ladders and lifts.
• Ideal personality profile: A hard worker who wants to grow with an organization, is honest, and reliable.

Growth Opportunity

This position offers significant growth opportunities for individuals who demonstrate leadership potential and a desire to advance within the organization. We are looking for people who aspire to be leaders. This is anticipated to be a long-term contract position with the potential to convert to a full-time employee (FTE) of Vision Technology once headcount becomes available. While on contract, the pay will remain at $20/hr and could increase if the individual moves into a leadership position, though this is not guaranteed until converting to FTE.

Pay and Benefits
