Event & Sponsorship Marketing Internship | Alliance Highway Safety

The Tone:
This is a internship at Alliance Highway Safety, located across the country with extensive travel required. Alliance Highway Safety specializes in direct highway safety programs with various states, delivering targeted messages about drinking and driving, texting and driving, wearing seatbelts, speeding, and other crucial campaigns. This role is crucial for coordinating a variety of sponsorship events across the country and delivering impactful community messaging, aiming to make a tangible difference in communities and save lives.

The TL;DR

• Type: Seasonal (May – August 2026)
• Location: Across the country (extensive travel required)
• Mission: This person manages and executes nationwide event sponsorships to effectively market highway safety campaigns and engage communities.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams Application, HubSpot, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Staff and fulfill event metrics as scheduled, including weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.
• Coordinate: Plan, book, and arrange all travel for events across the country.
• Collaborate: Contact and work with venue coordinators, school leadership, college career centers, and sponsorship partners to ensure requirements are met.
• Market: Travel to events across the country and effectively promote highway safety campaigns to attendees and fans.
• Report: Prepare professional recaps for clients, capture photographs of marketing activations, and communicate regularly with managers on program impact.

The Must-Haves
• Background: College Juniors / Seniors needing academic credit, or recent graduates seeking experience in marketing, event management, and operations.
• Experience: Ability to travel extensively (75% of the time) and manage time effectively while multitasking under pressure.
• Skills: Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, exceptional written and verbal communication, proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, solution-driven, and team-oriented work ethic.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Application & HubSpot; ability to create projects using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva.
