Baseball Client Services & Marketing Intern | Wasserman

This is an unpaid, for college credit internship at Wasserman, located in Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid). Wasserman is a global leader operating at the epicenter of sports, music, entertainment, and culture, dedicated to serving top talent, major brands, and properties worldwide. The company leverages extensive influence to maximize negotiations and create significant opportunities for clients across teams, leagues, content, and live events. This role is crucial in supporting the Baseball Client Services & Marketing team, helping to enhance client experiences and identify new marketing and endorsement opportunities for professional athletes, directly contributing to their success and brand development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Provide comprehensive support to the Baseball Client Services & Marketing team with various tasks.
• Outreach: Execute cold calls and marketing outreach efforts as specifically directed by the team.
• Research: Conduct thorough research to identify potential marketing opportunities for current clients, including Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities.
• Data & Tools: Create Excel spreadsheets and develop pitch decks to systematically organize and facilitate marketing outreach.
• Client Service & Admin: Assist with diverse client service needs, such as making restaurant and hotel reservations, preparing expense reports, and performing various administrative duties as assigned.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current enrollment in a degree program is required, with a preference for students majoring in a sports-related field of study.
• Experience: Prior experience in sales, marketing, business development, or cold calling is strongly preferred for this role.
• Skills: Possess well-developed communication, organizational, and time management skills, along with proficiency in basic administrative tasks and strong attention to detail.
• Bonus: Demonstrated interest in sports business and sales/marketing, coupled with an eagerness to learn about and contribute to the marketing and endorsement efforts of professional athletes. Candidates should also be organized, self-motivated, enthusiastic, display a professional attitude, show initiative, and exhibit loyalty and trustworthiness.
