Junior Commercial Contracts Lawyer | Axiom

The Tone:

• Mission: Support high-volume client projects, with a strong focus on supply chain and manufacturing-related contracting work, providing practical, business-oriented legal guidance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Agreements: Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements including NDAs, MSAs, distribution, supply, procurement, and services agreements.
• Support: Support supply chain and manufacturing-focused contracts, including vendor, supplier, and operations-related agreements.
• Guidance: Provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance on contract terms, risk allocation, and negotiation strategy.
• Initiatives: Assist clients with large commercial contracting initiatives, including contract standardization and remediation projects.
• Lifecycle Management: Support contract lifecycle management (CLM) efforts, including implementation, optimization, and ongoing contract operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: JD or equivalent, with active bar membership in good standing, ideally as a junior to mid-level commercial generalist.
• Experience: 2–5 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in-house or in a commercial-focused practice, with demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating core commercial contracts.
• Skills: Ability to manage high-volume workloads efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail; strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Bonus: Supply chain and/or manufacturing experience, experience with CLM system implementation or optimization, international contracts or Japanese-facing client exposure, and experience working with cross-functional and multinational teams.
