The Medidata Summer Internship Program

At Medidata, our interns are given a unique opportunity to accelerate their careers by working closely with experienced professionals and gaining valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience within a global organization. This 12-week program begins on May 18, 2026, offering interns a deep understanding of what it means to be a Medidatian.

Beyond individual responsibilities, our Summer Internship program also features:

A key component of the program is the Intern Innovation Lab. Interns are assigned to cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions to a current business problem facing Medidata. These teams will diligently work to present their final solutions to a panel of top Medidata leaders, making a significant impact on our business.

About the Team: Marketing Performance

This internship offers a key role in supporting the Marketing Performance team. You will contribute to increasing the use of automation in the preparation of regular reporting and leveraging AI to produce key insights, enhancing performance management and measurement.

Responsibilities

  • Following direction from the Marketing Performance team, examine events, campaigns, and product-specific performance reporting and related processes, leveraging automation to make output production more efficient.
  • Explore repeatable ways in which automation and/or AI can be leveraged to perform exploratory data analysis that helps answer business questions.
  • Work to make an impact on the team by uncovering opportunities and efficiencies within current workstreams, and assist in project management including documentation of meetings and processes.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the Marketing Operations team on reporting and analytics, supporting the preparation of reports that address key business questions, again by leveraging automation and AI when feasible.
  • Help support training on Marketing Operations processes and best practices if needed.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program with an accredited University, with a focus on Operations, Economics, Computer Science, Business, Marketing or Engineering.
  • An analytical mind who uses a ‘test and learn’ approach to work.
  • A desire to uncover and develop efficiencies in processes, interest in processes and project management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and the Google platform; Experience with Tableau is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Precise attention to detail.
  • Proactive willingness to learn and contribute.

Salary Information

The base hourly pay range for this position is $25-$28 per hour, depending on experience. This range applies only to positions physically based in New York. Medidata sets salary ranges based on various factors, including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York may differ based on local market data.
