eScholar Customer Support Intern
eScholar Customer Support is seeking an exceptional talent to join our team as a Customer Support Intern. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across three critical areas: Customer Support, Data Analytics, and Data Integration.
What Your Impact Will Be
- Product Expertise: Collaborate closely with the Director, Customer Success and the PS Team Leader to develop a comprehensive understanding of all eScholar products.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to eScholar customers, managing incoming support issues efficiently through eScholar’s incident management system.
- Content Publishing: Publish eScholar Analytics content to the customer analytics portal, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information.
- Design & Testing: Actively participate in functional and technical design sessions, and execute written test plans to ensure product quality.
- Data Understanding & Reporting: Work with Technical BAs, customers, and source system experts to understand reporting needs, underlying source data, and associated business rules.
- Data Quality Assurance: Use and edit test scripts to thoroughly verify the accuracy and completeness of loaded data.
- Requirements Gathering: Gather end-user requirements for data dissemination and reporting, translating business needs into technical specifications.
- Data Analysis & Quality: Utilize various applications to analyze source system data, identifying data quality issues and anomalies that require correction or handling in ETL routines.
- ETL Development: Develop data extract routines from diverse disparate data sources using ETL tools and/or SQL, conforming them to the eScholar Complete Data Warehouse product format.
- Data Visualization: Create compelling data visualizations using a variety of applications, including Tableau, AWS Quicksight, Microsoft Power BI, and others.
What We Are Looking For
- SQL Proficiency: Proficient in SQL for data manipulation and querying.
- Visualization Tools: Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, AWS Quicksight, Microsoft Power BI, and others.
- Programming Languages: Experience with JavaScript, Python, CSS, and others.
- Development Practices: Experience with version control and functional testing methodologies.
- Database Experience: Experience with SQL Server, Postgres, and Oracle databases.
- Technical Documentation: Experience creating clear and concise technical documentation.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS or Azure cloud-hosted applications.
- Education Sector Exposure: Some prior experience within the education sector, ideally through internships.
- Availability: Ability to work up to 25 hours/week.

Salary
$25/hr
