Junior Marketing Specialist | Serco Inc.

You will play a crucial part in informing service members, their families, and military leaders about essential military benefits and retirement information. This role requires extensive travel to engage with diverse audiences and ensure they have access to critical resources and support.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Represent Program: Represent the My Service Benefits (MSB) program at conferences, conventions, training events, and other awareness opportunities to execute strategic communications tactics.
• Conduct Briefings: Present MyArmyBenefits and MyAirForceBenefits information to audiences ranging from 10 to over 200 participants, including service members, senior leaders, and VIPs, through both virtual and in-person events.
• Provide Training & Expertise: Deliver training to Retirement Services Officers on the websites, particularly financial planning calculators, and serve as the primary knowledge resource on all aspects of military benefits and retirement, including calculations for retired pay, Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) premiums, and survivor benefits estimates.
• Support and Outreach: Assist Soldiers, Airmen, Guardians, and their families with benefit calculations at supported events, and conduct outreach to various military commands to create additional briefing, presentation, and event opportunities.
• Operational Support: Prepare all required paperwork such as travel authorizations and expense reports, create and update briefing slides, and provide assistance to marketing efforts by giving idea input for social media and website user feedback, and testing site calculators and features for the technical team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Communications, Advertising/Public Relations, Journalism, Business, English, or a related field, marking this as an early career opportunity.
• Experience: Requires a minimum of one year of experience providing presentations to various military audiences, specifically including large groups of over 200 participants.
• Skills: Must be a U.S. Citizen, able to obtain a NACI clearance, comfortable learning new applications and working with technology, and possess the ability to travel up to 50% for presentations and briefings.
