Kaizen Summer Sales Intern | Kaizen Marketing

The Tone:
This is a paid summer internship at Kaizen Marketing, located in-person. Kaizen Marketing focuses on driving business growth and developing sales cycle solutions for clients. This role offers hands-on experience in outside sales, territory management, and customer engagement, making it crucial for supporting the company’s expansion efforts and fostering future sales talent.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Acquisition: Engage in outside sales activities by identifying potential clients and building strong relationships through cold calling and direct outreach.
• Territory Management: Assist in managing territory sales by analyzing market trends and developing strategies to expand the customer base.
• Service Demonstrations: Conduct service demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, upselling solutions that meet client needs.
• Lead Tracking: Support lead generation efforts using CRM software to track prospects and follow-up activities.
• Business Development: Collaborate with management on business development initiatives to identify new opportunities and improve sales processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an early career opportunity for individuals currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a business, marketing, or a closely related academic program. Candidates should possess a strong interest in pursuing a career path within sales, marketing, or management fields.
• Experience: Familiarity with CRM software is required to track prospects and manage follow-up activities. No prior professional experience is strictly mandated, but candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm for outside sales, B2B transactions, and understanding sales cycles.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills, including the ability to negotiate effectively and build strong rapport with diverse clients. Strong analytical skills to interpret client conversations and strategically guide clients through the sales process.
• Bonus: Prior experience in retail sales, cold calling, or account management is considered a valuable asset.
