The TL;DR

• Pay: $25.75–$39 hourly
• Mission: Develop competencies across various engineering specializations related to space payloads, spacecraft, and mission operations to support human space exploration and national defense.

What You’ll Actually Do
• System Development: Develop requirements, designs, integrate, or test space payloads, spacecraft buses, satellites, human-rated spacecraft, and satellite servicing vehicles.
• Requirements Management: Generate and flow down customer requirements to hardware and software designers for various space systems.
• Algorithm Implementation: Implement advanced algorithms involving sophisticated signal processing and data processing techniques.
• Technical Analysis: Perform advanced modeling and analyses relating to mission and technical problems, supporting development or mission operations teams.
• Business Development Support: Assist in new business activities, such as conceptual design and analysis for proposals and funded studies, potentially authoring sections.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a full-time degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related field, with a graduation date after August 2026.
• Experience: Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during the Summer 2026. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
• Skills: Knowledgeable in aerospace systems, spacecraft subsystems design, or mission operations.
