About the Job

This role focuses on developing and applying interdisciplinary methods, algorithms, statistics, and research techniques to create data-driven solutions. The goal is to extract knowledge, provide insights, and present information effectively from diverse structured and unstructured data sources.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis of various data systems, including Big Data systems.
  • Combines synthetic and real datasets for algorithmic use, applying domain randomization to reduce reality gaps, and implementing multi-object tracking benchmarks.
  • Integrates and tests camera system software projects with video imagery.
  • Performs data fusion, such as RF IQ, and trains for hyperspectral imagery segmentation and classification.
  • Documents technical work thoroughly for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • May perform statistical analysis and contribute to reports and dashboards.
  • Assists in the development of data products, reports, dashboards, or other display techniques.
  • Assists with analyzing data, algorithms, and their interaction to improve algorithm performance.
  • May apply advanced statistics, including natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) to create innovative solutions.
  • May assist in data modeling and data virtualization.
  • May write code to preprocess and clean data.

Required Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages: Python and C++.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance within six months of hire.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous hands-on experience with drones.
  • Previous experience working with the US military or Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Working knowledge of deep learning frameworks, specifically PyTorch, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), etc.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and presentation tools.
