The Snap-on Diagnostics facility in Lincolnshire, IL, is a hub for engineers developing cutting-edge hardware, firmware, and application software. We are seeking an energetic, conscientious, and hard-working student to join our highly experienced team and contribute to developing industry-leading products.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a student to gain practical experience by working alongside our engineering development team. The primary focus will be on the hands-on process of:
- Designing, building, and testing product prototypes.
- Performing head-to-head product comparisons, including testing on actual automobiles, between Snap-on products and competitive offerings.
- Presenting detailed findings from product comparisons to the development team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be effective in this role, candidates must possess:
- A basic understanding of automotive technology.
- A basic understanding of electronics and/or mechanical design principles.
- An understanding of automotive systems is essential.

We are searching for a student who demonstrates the following:
- Reliable Transportation: Ability to commute to our facility in the northwest suburbs of Chicago (420 Barclay Blvd, Lincolnshire, IL).
- Passion for Automotive: A genuine enthusiasm for the automotive industry.
- Academic Progress: Completed at least two years towards a degree in one of the following fields:
- Automotive Technology
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
