Junior Technical Project Management Intern | Veolia
The Tone:

This Junior Technical Project Management Intern role, part of the 12-week Student Exploration and Experience Development (SEED) program, offers a chance to gain hands-on experience and mentorship within the IT department. What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Execution Support: Assist senior technical project managers in planning, executing, and closing software development and IT infrastructure projects, applying both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Documentation Creation: Create and maintain essential project documentation, including project plans, technical specifications, change management documentation, and project control documents such as risk registers and issue logs.
• Meeting Engagement: Actively participate in various project meetings, including requirements gathering, technical reviews, stakeholder status updates, and Agile ceremonies, contributing to discussions and information sharing.
• Progress & Risk Monitoring: Support the tracking of development progress and project metrics using tools like JIRA and Smartsheets, while also assisting in identifying and communicating technical risks, dependencies, and compliance issues.
• Coordination & Governance: Support coordination efforts between development, business, and QA teams, and help ensure project deliverables align with established IT governance frameworks and organizational standards.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior status in a four-year degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related major. A high school diploma or GED is also required.
• Experience: Currently enrolled in a four-year degree program with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
• Skills: Strong communication skills encompassing written, verbal, listening, presentation, and facilitation abilities; a demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships; and a strong interest in project management and Information Technology (IT).
• Organizational Acumen: Excellent organizational and time management skills, proficiency in Google Apps (Sheets, Slides) or Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), basic understanding of project management concepts and methodologies, familiarity with IT concepts and terminology, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
