Client Overview

One of TEKsystems’ clients, a leader in their respective industry, is experiencing rapid growth both organically and through acquisitions. Due to this expansion, the company established a Project Management Office (PMO) last year, implementing a new project management tool and creating a comprehensive framework for managing projects across the organization. This framework covers both IT/OT projects and line-of-business specific initiatives, operating under what the manager describes as “a federated model.”

Role Description

With the PMO build-out and tool implementation now complete, the PMO Director is seeking a motivated Project Administrator/Jr. Project Coordinator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual early in their career who aspires to become a Project Manager. The successful candidate will gain valuable hands-on experience in the fundamentals of project management, learning the “X’s and O’s” of the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help administer the new Project Management (PM) tool.
  • Manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings.
  • Actively help drive projects forward.

Candidate Profile

  • Early in career with a strong aspiration to become a Project Manager.
  • Although no prior dedicated project management experience is strictly required, the manager prefers candidates who have an understanding of PM vernacular (terminology) and the overall project management process.

This is a Contract to Hire position based fully onsite in Birmingham, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 – $28.00/hr.
