Digital Customer Intern | WM

The Tone:
This is a 12-week paid internship at WM, designed for early career talent. WM views its interns as a vital part of its current operations, providing a structured program to bridge classroom learning with practical, real-world application. Interns are empowered from day one to contribute meaningfully, explore diverse areas of the business, and grow their professional skillsets within a supportive, purpose-driven environment. This specific role on the digital customer team offers exposure to critical applications like Salesforce, providing real-world experience in systems development and understanding customer needs, contributing to key aspects of WM’s business.

The TL;DR

• Team: Digital Customer Team
• Mission: Support the development and improvement of digital customer applications, gain exposure to Salesforce and SDLC methodologies, and understand customer needs to enhance the overall customer experience at WM.
• Tech Stack: Salesforce, customer vertical applications, SDLC methodologies

What You’ll Actually Do
• Problem Analysis: Apply problem-solving skills to identify and understand the fundamental components of various issues within the digital customer vertical.
• Data Analysis: Conduct directed analyses to gather information, preparing and delivering actionable insights and data-driven recommendations.
• Reporting & Recommendations: Synthesize analytical findings, draw clear conclusions, and present both oral and written recommendations to supervisors and managers.
• Project Execution: Execute specific tasks directly related to functional projects and contribute to ongoing process improvements within the digital customer team.
• Issue Communication: Clearly communicate any issues, roadblocks, or challenges encountered in areas of responsibility to relevant stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career, possessing a High school diploma or GED (accredited) and actively pursuing or having recently completed a Bachelor’s degree (accredited) in a field of study relevant to the internship.
• Experience: No specific years required; candidates must be currently pursuing or recently completed a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
• Skills: Problem-solving (determining problems and understanding their fundamental parts), Analytical skills (conducting analysis, synthesizing findings, and drawing conclusions), Communication (delivering oral and written recommendations, communicating issues and roadblocks), Exposure to SDLC methodologies (understanding systems development lifecycles as part of the digital customer team’s work).
