Job Overview
Kimley-Horn is seeking a motivated CAD Operator to join our Land Development team in Raleigh, NC. This role is essential for generating site plans and construction drawings for a variety of projects.
Responsibilities
- Utilize basic computer drafting software to create site plans and construction drawings for Kimley-Horn projects.
- Design and produce comprehensive sets of plans, ensuring adherence to established standards.
- Implement and manage AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards across projects.
- Assist in the maintenance and organization of the drawing database.
- Perform routine analysis and checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within drawings.
- Develop a strong familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s established practices, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required (Associates degree preferred).
- Experience: 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in a CAD-related role.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Autodesk (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) or Bentley products preferred.
- Personal Attributes:
- Detail-oriented with a professional attitude.
- Strong communication skills (both interpersonal and writing).
- Team player who can also work independently as a self-starter.
- Possesses a strong work ethic and a desire for continuous learning.
